This morning we caught the bus out to the British Commonwealth War Cemetery.  A friend of my parents, Zane Navis, is buried there.  He was killed in the invasion in 1944 at the age of 26.  My brother Zane is named for him.

In the afternoon we went to the Bargello Museum and then to the Piti Palace and Boboli Gardens where we saw how the other half lived.  Up to this point I had been ecstatic that Florence was flat!  However, the Gardens were on a hill, and a rather steep one at that. We then strolled down the Ponte Vecchio and to the Piazza Navonne and had our first honest to goodness scenic beer.

After we strolled back to the hotel, we went to the Acqua Al 2 ristorante which features a really innovative tasting menu.  We shared 5 pastas, 3 steaks, 4 desserts [and a partridge in a pear tree - or so it seemed with all the food].  Interestingly enough, they have restaurants in Washington, DC and San Francisco.

Сьогодні вранці ми зловили автобус з до складу Британської Співдружності Військове кладовище. Друг моїх батьків, Зейн Navis, похований там. Він був убитий під час вторгнення в 1944 році у віці 26 років. Мій брат Зейн названий на честь його.

Після того, як ми гуляли назад в готель, ми вирушили в Acqua Ristorante Al 2, який показує дійсно інноваційні дегустаційне меню. Ми розділили 5 пасти, 3 стейки, 4 десерти [і куріпку на груші - або так здавалося з усіма їжу]. Цікаво, що у них є ресторани у Вашингтоні, округ Колумбія, і Сан-Франциско.

Esta mañana cogimos el autobús hacia el cementerio de guerra de la Commonwealth británica. Un amigo de mis padres, Zane Navis, está enterrado allí. Fue asesinado en la invasión en 1944 a la edad de 26 años. Mi hermano Zane lleva su nombre.

En la tarde fuimos al Museo del Bargello y luego al Palacio de Piti y Jardines de Boboli, donde vimos cómo vivió la otra mitad. Hasta ese momento yo había estado de éxtasis que Florencia era plana! Sin embargo, los jardines estaban en una colina, y bastante fuerte en eso. A continuación, un paseo por el Ponte Vecchio y la Piazza Navonne y tuvimos nuestra primera honesta a la cerveza bien pintoresco.

Después dimos un paseo de vuelta al hotel, nos fuimos a la acqua al 2 ristorante que cuenta con un menú degustación realmente innovador. Compartimos 5 pastas, carnes, postres 3 4 [y una perdiz en un peral-o al menos eso parecía con toda la comida]. Curiosamente, tienen restaurantes en Washington, DC y San Francisco.
